The Kiss-Box is the brain child of two people that were part of the driving force behind the renown Avenger-Conductor show controllers. With its industrial -PC driven control units and modular card-system for the controlled protocols, the Avenger-Conductor presented, at hat time (beginning of the 1990’s), a revolutionary show-control network concept. It was the first true Ethernet based show-control system on the market. But as so may visionary products it came to the market to early to become a solid financial success. Equipped with a thorough knowledge of network issues and control protocols we have never given up on the idea that a future proof control system should be Ethernet based. After a healthy time of following the marked and rethinking the next step in Show-Control networking we have developed the Kiss-Box. Based on our knowledge of the Show-Control market, and our skills to develop high quality hard and software we know we now have the right product at the right time.
Ethernet has become the standard transport method for a wide variety of protocols. It has found its way from the office environment in to many other areas where low-cost and high reliability networking is required. Within the entertainment industry we see a growing trend in using the Ethernet as the preferred infrastructure, more and more control systems are evolving into network based distributed systems. At Kiss-Box we have taken on the task to provide this growing market with innovative Ethernet based network products. We started out with our line of protocol transceivers that allow all the currently used entertainment related control protocols to be transmitted over Ethernet, but we will not stop at that. We are keeping a close eye on the developments within our markets, and will be introducing more Ethernet based products in the future.
One development that we are working on at the moment is our Stage Management Control System. Based on our newly developed Human Interface Network modules we will introduce an Ethernet based Human Interface solution for the professional audio, video and lighting industry.
